Remember “Hachiko”, the Akita dog who made the world cry for his incredible loyalty? It was even made into a movie for the very touching story.
Hachiko always went to the train station waiting for his owner to go home from work. One day, his owner, Hidesaburo Ueno suffered from cerebral hemorrhage while he was at work and did not make it.
For over 9 years after that, Hachiko loyally went to the train station every day waiting for his owner to go home. Even though the owner does not show today, Hachiko still comes back the next day.
Just recently, netizen found a new Hachiko in Mongolia. For months, a dog is seen waiting by the road, no doubt waiting for his owner.
As it turned out, this unnamed dog’ owner got into an accident but the dog, a lot like Hachiko, loyally waited for his owner by the side of the road, unknowing that he will never go home.
On August 21, the owner of the dog met an accident and did not make it. Since then, the dog patiently waited for him by the side of the road. People noticed the dog, always there, always unmoving.
On November 10, a video of the dog was posted by Pear Video, a Chinese news platform. The video went viral for the impressive loyalty and love that the dog showed.
The dog’s name is still unknown, thus, people started calling him the new Hachiko, in honor to the loyal dog who made the world cry.
For three months, the dog stayed on his spot no matter what the weather is. People have tried to help him but he always skitters and shy away from anyone who approaches him. People just left food for him beside him.
They are hoping that with winter fast approaching, someone with a good heart may be able to adopt this poor canine.
