Mystica Receives Public Backlash After Defending Joaquin Montes and his Father

Earlier this month, 90's star Mystica became the talk of the town on social media following her publicized dispute with Raffy Tulfo. Initially, Mystica approached Tulfo's radio to ask for help, but things spiralled downwards which eventually ended in Raffy Tulfo asking Mystica to seek professional help.

Nowadays, the "Split Queen" has yet again challenged the "Wanted sa Radyo" host. In a viral Facebook video, the 51-year-old 90's star challenged Raffy about his claims. It can be remembered that Raffy questioned Mystica's sanity and asked her to undergo professional treatment.

This apparently offended Mystica, who retaliated by saying that there is not an ounce of truth in Raffy's words. She also demanded evidence from the host, who is yet to respond. In addition to that, Mystica also addressed the bullying controversy in Ateneo de Manila University.

In case you missed it, last week, many people were enraged after a video of a bully resurfaced online. The high school student, who is studying in Ateneo, can be seen punching and humiliating his classmate. This caused a public uproar and even the parents of the bully were questioned.

However, Msytica took the side of the bully and reprimanded the people who are criticizing him. According to the "Split Queen," instead of criticizing, we should focus on what drove the bully to do the things he did. She even showed a Php 100,000 check to challenge one of the Ateneo bully's detractors.

This did not sit well with the netizens who claimed that Mystica was defending the bully. Because of her controversial take on this issue, it has attracted divided opinion from people. Check out their comments below:

OFW Cries From Loneliness After Her Family Forgot to Greet Her This Christmas

This Christmas season, it is customary for us Filipinos to have a get-together with our families. Indeed, Christmas is not complete if we don't bond with our relatives while sharing "noche buena" and exchanging gifts. Yet sadly, not all of us has the privilege to experience this kind of Christmas.

How would you spend your Christmas day if you are away from your family? For most Overseas Filipino Workers, they have gotten used to spending their Christmas eve away from home. But even though they are miles away, that doesn't mean that they cannot greet their loved ones.

Most of the time, OFWs use social media to greet their loved ones. Even though they are far away, a simple message or even a photo can bring them back home. Indeed, a simple video chat can make you feel as if you are also included in the festivities back home!

A simple "Merry Christmas!" is enough to give them happiness on the holiday season. However, what's heartbreaking is some OFWs did not even get a single greeting from their relatives back home. One of them is this female OFW, who was caught on cam crying because of loneliness.

As seen on the video, she seems to be inebriated while crying due to loneliness. At some point during the clip, the brokenhearted OFW even threw away some of her things. Apparently, her husband or kids did not even send her a single greeting during the Christmas season.

Even though her family did not greet her, many netizens send their well wishes to the OFW. In fact, a lot of people sympathized with what she is going through. One of them even offered his insight:

"Kawawa naman din lahat ng pagod nya mawawala kung binati sya ng asawa nya sa isang special na mahalagang araw gaya ng pasko.. Ramdam ko sya."

Days before the premiere of their first ever cross-over, the trio held a press conference. During the press-con, Bossing Vic shared his thoughts about working for the first time with Kapamilya actor Coco Martin.

According to the 64-year-old "Eat Bulaga" host, Coco's biggest asset is his undying passion while filming. He also shows sincere kindness and concern not only to his co-stars, but to everyone on the set as well:

"Hindi pwede sa kanya yung ‘okay na yan,’ hindi, kailangan perpekto. Kailangan perpekto lahat ng eksena, lahat ng mga dialogues. So, nakita ko yung passion (niya) sa trabaho. Nakita ko kung gaano niya kamahal, hindi lang yung trabaho niya, kahit sino. May malasakit siya sa kapwa."

On the other hand, Coco Martin's co-star, Maine Mendoza, also had nothing but high compliments for the 37-year-old actor. During their press conference, the 24-year-old actress remarked how Coco Martin is always eager to lend a helping hand to others.

While on set, the "Ang Probinsyano" actor is also very meticulous in all of the scenes:

Robin Padilla Gets Called Out for Celebrating Christmas Despite Being Muslim

In the midst of the festivities during Christmas season, some celebrities are still not safe from the prying eyes of the public. One of them is Robin Padilla, who was criticized on social media for celebrating Christmas despite having a different religion.

On Instagram, the 49-year-old action star's wife, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, shared a photo of their family gathering during Christmas. The photo was flooded with many well-wishers and greetings, but one critic left an unsavory comment for Robin Padilla.

According to the Instagram user--whose identity will be withheld for privacy--Robin should not be celebrating Christmas since this is a Christian tradition, and the action star is a Muslim. In the Islam religion, they do not celebrate or even acknowledge Christmas.

To shed light on the matter, the 49-year-old actor shared an insightful message on his personal Instagram account. His statement read as follows:

On the other hand, many people also defended the actor. A Facebook user claimed that he sees nothing wrong in Robin's action, because Christmas does not discriminate. Meanwhile, a fellow Muslim also offered his insight on the matter:

"Celebrating Christmas for a Muslim with his non-Muslim is not a sin as long you respect each other belief and halal food are being serve. Islam is love. Christmas is love where family are gather together once in a year."

Luneta Park Almost Looked Like a Dumpsite After Christmas Celebration

Luneta Park is a popular landmark all over the country and is visited by thousands of tourists every year. Formerly known as "Bagumbayan," this historical site is a blind witness to the assassination of Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal in 1896.

As customary, Filipinos spent their Christmas eve with a bang. Most families stayed on the comforts of their home, while some choose to celebrate outside. This year, thousands of families spent their Christmas eve in Luneta Park. However, they left a nasty 'remembrance' after the festivities.

In less than a week before the 122nd death anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal, many people desecrated his landmark. Many families who spent their Christmas eve on Luneta park left their trash all over the historic place. In doing so, they have disrespected and mocked our own national hero.

In the early morning after Christmas eve, street sweepers and park rangers were met with mounds of garbage. The whole 60-hectares of land were littered with trash, plastic bottles, picnic mats, disposable cups, and many more. The ornamental gardens and wide lawns looked like a massive dump site.

After celebrating, the people neglected their surroundings and didn't even have the heart to take care of their trash. This heartbreaking sight went viral on social media. What's more frustrating is it happened just a few days before Dr. Jose Rizal's death anniversary.

Many people condemned the massive littering that happened. Some netizens even suggested to close the park temporarily, just so it won't be desecrated by irresponsible visitors again.

Do you think Luneta Park should be closed off? Your opinion counts, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below. For more updates on the latest happenings, feel free to follow us on Facebook.

We intended to establish their seniority, but we admit that we should have used better terms to say it."
