Take a look at the inspirational story of this tricycle driver from Davao City. For the lat five years, it has been an ongoing tradition for this tricycle driver to offer something for his passengers. Due to the consecutive fare hike, the driver decided to give free rides to his passengers!
Meet Grape Teofisto, a member of MCMTODA in Davao who works as a tricycle driver for many years. In his many years as a tricycle driver, Teofisto decided to give back to his passengers this coming holiday. He does this every year without fail, and without expecting anything in return.
Every year for the last five years, Teofisto gives free rides to his passengers days before Christmas day. This is his way of giving back to the community, as well as being thankful for his blessings. One of his passengers, Alfie Jay, was touched with his surprise that's why he decided to share it on Facebook.
According to Alfie, he tried to pay his fare but the kindhearted tricycle driver declined. Instead, he told him that this is his Christmas treat for his passengers:
"Five years nang ginagawa ito ni mamang driver tuwing pasko. Alam mo talaga kung gaano ka busilak ang kanyang puso. Yung katabi kong studyante ng Badas halos maluha dahil pinasakay daw sya mg libre dahil wala daw naghahatid sa kanya sa Tate college. God bless kuyang driver."
