The Instagram community went abuzz earlier this week after Luis Manzano was involved in a confrontation with a critic. The "I Can See Your Voice" host had a run-in with an Instagram user who left unsavory comments on the photo of Luis' girlfriend, Jessy Mendiola.
The unnamed critic attacked Jessy by saying that the actress' depression was entirely her fault. In addition to that, the critic also dropped names of actors who were involved in controversies with Jessy, such as JM De Guzman and Enrique Gil:
“Sana masaya ka sa pag uungkat ng nakaraan. Move on, girl! Kawawa ‘yung taong wala naman talagang may kasalanan. Dinamay mo pa si JM de Guzman at Enrique Gil sa pagkaka depress mo. Kasalanan mo naman ang lahat. Ahas. Starlet. Flop Queen. Pumayat nga pero mabaho pa rin."
Although Jessy Mendiola herself did not respond to the hate, her boyfriend came to the rescue. Luis, who has been known to respond to hate comments in the past, did not hold back in answering the 'below-the-belt' comments of his girlfriend's critic. The actor left the following reply on the controversial comment:
“Huwag nagmamarunong kung walang alam sa lahat ng pangyayari, panindigan mo naman ang mga sinasabi mo, DM mo ako details mo. Promise bibigyan kita ng chance sabihin lahat ‘yan harap-harapan."
As his final words, the "I Can See Your Voice" host demanded to get the details of the critic, so they could meet and discuss the matter in person:
“Waiting sa DM ha, promise, ‘di ko ilalabas details mo pero ako mismo pupunta. Sent you a DM, details please… May lakad pa ako now, details please saan ka puwede puntahan."
This undirect warning seemed to have dampened the spirits of the critic, who is yet to answer back. On the other hand, Luis Manzano's fans also showed their support for the actor and Jessy.
